Service 05 / Digital, GEO, SEO

Be the brand AI tools recommend.

When a buyer asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, or Claude for the best in your category, your name shows up. We do the schema, the llms.txt, the answer-shaped content, and the local-SEO grind that makes it happen. Most PR firms have not started.

The shift

Buyer queries moved. Most brands have not.

In 2024 ChatGPT crossed 800 million weekly users. Perplexity passed 22 million monthly active. Google AI Overviews now appear on 47 percent of US informational queries. When buyers ask "best HVAC in Houston" or "what is the alternative to Salesforce," they get a synthesized answer with cited sources. If your brand is not in the citation set, you are not in the consideration set.

SEO still matters. But the playbook for being cited by an AI engine is different. It rewards structured data over keyword density, definition-shaped paragraphs over fluff, and credibility signals (real authors, real schema, real outbound links) over backlink farms.

  • You rank page two for your category and a smaller competitor with worse content ranks page one.
  • You searched ChatGPT for the best in your category. You were not named.
  • Your Google Business Profile shows up in the Map Pack only when buyers search your exact brand name.
  • Your "schema strategy" is the WordPress Yoast plugin's defaults from 2018.
  • Your competitor just published a "what is [category]" guide and is suddenly cited everywhere.

What we do

Six pieces of work. In this order.

  1. Audit. Where do you stand in AI answers today?

We build a 50-query test set for your ICP, run it through ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, and Gemini, and capture who gets cited and why. Output: a baseline score and a target list of queries you should own in 90 days.

  2. Schema. The structured data layer.

Organization, WebSite, Service, Product, Offer, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, Article, DefinedTerm, HowTo, LocalBusiness per location. Real schema, validated, matched to visible content. Most sites have either none or invented ratings (which gets penalized). We fix both.

  3. llms.txt and llms-full.txt. The LLM-friendly site index.

A clean markdown index at the root of your domain that tells AI crawlers where your most important pages live. Cheap to set up. Compounds quickly because adoption is rising.

  4. Answer-shaped content. The format AI engines lift.

Definition blocks, FAQ patterns, comparison tables, numbered how-to steps. Every important page rewritten to include at least one quotable, standalone, citeable sentence with a specific number.

  5. Local SEO. For operators with locations.

Per-location Google Business Profile overhaul, citation cleanup across 30 directories, review velocity programs, local AI Overview tracking, schema for LocalBusiness and Service per location, near-me query targeting.

  6. Press as the input. GEO as the multiplier.

Press coverage in real outlets is what AI engines cite. We close the loop: every placement we land becomes a content opportunity, a schema add, a llms-full.txt update. Output amplifies input.

Best for

Where this service compounds fastest.

Strong fit

  • Local operators with 3 to 15 locations who want to win the Map Pack and AI Overview together.
  • B2B SaaS founders launching a product where buyers research via ChatGPT and Perplexity.
  • D2C brands fighting rising paid CACs who need an organic flywheel.
  • Any brand that already gets press but is not capitalizing on the citations.

Weak fit

  • Brands that need leads tomorrow. Organic and AI compounding starts at 60 days.
  • Pre-product startups with no positioning yet. Pick the category first.
  • Heavy paid-search dependent businesses unwilling to build organic muscle.
  • Anyone wanting to manipulate AI engines via spam tactics. We do not do that.

Common questions

GEO and SEO questions, answered.

What is GEO and how is it different from SEO?

GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization. It is the work of getting your brand cited when a buyer asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, or Claude for recommendations. SEO targets the blue-link results page. GEO targets the synthesized answer above it. The work overlaps but the formats are different. AI engines reward clean structured data, definition-shaped paragraphs, FAQ blocks, and citations from real publications.

How do you measure GEO results?

We track three things monthly. First, brand citation rate in AI Overviews and Perplexity for a tracked query set (we build the query set with you in week one). Second, organic AI-referrer traffic visible in analytics. Third, share of voice in answers compared to a named competitor set. We share the dashboard. No black box.

Do I still need traditional SEO?

Yes. Most queries still produce blue-link results, especially commercial ones. We do both. The bonus is that the work overlaps significantly. Schema, llms.txt, and answer-shaped content lift you in both AI Overviews and traditional SERPs at the same time.

What is llms.txt and do I really need it?

llms.txt is an emerging convention proposed by Jeremy Howard in September 2024. It is a markdown file at the root of your domain that tells language models where your most important pages live. Adoption is rising. It costs nothing to add, and it can meaningfully improve how LLMs summarize your site. We set it up in week one for every client.

Do you handle local SEO for multi-location operators?

Yes. Per-location Google Business Profile audit and overhaul, citation cleanup across the top 30 directories, schema markup including LocalBusiness and Service per location, review velocity programs, and local AI Overview tracking. This is bundled into the Local Operator Package.

How long until we see results?

Schema and llms.txt show effects within two to three weeks (LLM citations move faster than Google rankings). Local Map Pack lift typically shows in 6 to 10 weeks. Organic SEO compound usually starts at 90 days and meaningfully shows at 6 months. We commit to a written milestone plan in the first proposal.

Do you do paid search (Google Ads)?

Light touch only, and only as a complement to organic. We do not run pure paid-search retainers. If your goal is straight Google Ads management we will refer you to a specialist. Our value is in the earned and organic flywheel.
